Millions of agents out there are trying to do social, and many are having varied degrees of success with their implementation. Today we thought we would look at 'The Best' agents and see what it is they do to boost their agent profile. Make sure you take away these tips, to ensure you boost your PERSONAL brand socially.
1. They have built out a socially engaging instagram profile: It's important for you as an agent to create an identity. And by identity, that doesn't mean your corporate office profile and the one line that says "I want to serve you better than any other agent" but more so an engaging profile. To do this, go where the people are. Build out an instagram profile and display to consumers what you do in photos in both work and leisure time. This gives them an insight in to your life, but also shows you're human. People want to engage an agent that understands them, show them you also have a life.
2. Writing periodical blogs on important issues: The best agents get the fact that they don't need to be doing something all the time, but they need to be doing something of value. Our research from studying a mixture of agents has demonstrated that agents who engage less frequently, but provide information that fixes a problem or is seen as exceptionally valuable, gets more engagement than agents who just write content for the sake of doing so. This is a little harder because you can't be certain when topical issues will arise, but making sure you are ready to share your thoughts when something is being discuss in your market is essential.
3. They are sharing listing after listing after listing: Social media gives you a platform to share, but more importantly, to share imagery. One of the good things about sharing imagery is that it is easily consumed and doesn't interrupt peoples viewing patterns of content. It doesn't take time to absorb and is generally quite non-obtrusive. Therefore, provide as many listing updates with images as you can! And leave the text to a minimum.
Ultimately they are living and breathing real estate. But more importantly they are always doing something for their personal brand. Ensuring that all of your social channels are integrated and working together in order to update and display what it is that you're doing as an agent, ensures that you are at the top of your game and also easily found by people looking to engage an agent. All it takes is for one potential vendor to come across your services and what it is you offer, for an enquiry to come your way, and that momentum can have a massive flow on effect.
So start building your brand and sharing content socially. It's the best way to build a brand, and if done correctly can have huge rewards.
