The safest areas in Victoria to recommend to security conscious clients

According to a recent report from the Economist Intelligence Unit Melbourne ranks as the ninth safest city in the world. However, as with any large city there are definitely some areas that are safer to live in than others.

It’s simply not realistic for a suburb to be completely free of all crime, but by undertaking some research we've found out which areas in Victoria have minimal crime rates.

Here are the top 10 safest regions in the state to recommend to clients that have security as their top priority in finding a new home or are looking to relocate to a safer neighbourhood.

We've put together this short list using Victoria Police's and RACV's 2013/2014 crime statistics that will come in handy to draw upon when advising safety conscious clients of the best places to move.
